Well, It’s now or never. Let’s go back in time and recreate Gandhi Ji’s renowned charkha, which served as the physical embodiment and emblem of Gandhi’s constructive mission. If you have all of the essential materials at home, making a charkha functioning model is fairly straightforward. If you wish to create a charkha model at home, you will require the following materials:

Steps To Make Charkha Working Model
Now that you have the supplies list let’s get started on making a charkha working model. If you adhere to the guidelines to the letter, making your charkha working model will be a breeze:
Step 1: Take three popsicle sticks and paste their centers so as to form a star-like shape. Create one more copy of this and make holes at the joined centers.

Step 2: Then, take a small popsicle stick and make holes at both ends. Also, take a big stick and break it into two parts so that both the parts are equal. Shorten both parts and use sandpaper to straighten the ends.

Step 3: Now, take a long toothpick stick and insert it into the hole made at the center of the star. Secure the star on the end side of the toothpick with the help of a glue gun.

Step 4: Take another star and paste it at a distance from the already joint star. Secure it as well.

Step 5: Use small sticks to join the ends of the two stars as shown in the picture.

Step 6: Now, take a wooden base and paste two small pieces of wood at distance from each other both at one end of the base. Paste popsicle sticks on both pieces so that the ends of the popsicle sticks match.

Step 7: Then, insert the charkha piece through the hole at the end of the stick. Repeat the process on the other side as well. Secure the charkha piece with glue.

Step 8: Now, take the two small pieces of a popsicle stick and paste them at their front at a distance from one another. Pass a small stick with a nut bolt through the holes in the stick as shown in the picture.

Step 9: Fix a wooden handle at the extra stick coming out from the charkha piece. Pass a thread from both ends and join it.
