Introduction
In this tutorial, we will show you how to make a DIY artificial flame using readily available material at home. Artificial flames can be used as decorative pieces in homes, offices, and parties.
Supplies
To make a DIY artificial flame, we need some essential tools and supplies, which are listed below;
Tools
- Drill machine
- Soldering iron
- Hot glue gun
Materials
- 75 mm PVC pipe
- Pipe sheet
- Red LED bulbs
- 150-ohm resistor
- Old USB cable and charger
- Non-woven carry bag
- Motor with propeller
Steps To Make A DIY Artificial Flame
To make DIY artificial flame at home, just follow these steps carefully;
Step 1: Take a 75mm PVC pipe and cut it.

Step 2: Now, cut the non-woven carry bag (as shown in the picture).

Step 3: Paste the carry bag into the PVC pipe using a hot glue gun.
Step 4: Attach the pipe sheet in the DC motor with a propeller and paste it on the pipe (as shown in the picture).

Step 5: Make two holes in the pipe sheet using a pipe sheet drill machine.
Step 6: Now, connect LED bulbs in the holes.

Step 7: Attach two pipe sheet pieces on the edges and connect LED bulbs into them.
Step 8: Connect them parallel.

Step 9: Connect the resistor with the bulb’s leg.
Step 10: Now connect the DC motor wire with them.

Step 11: Remove the old cable’s rubber and connect the wire within the bulb’s leg.
Step 12: Now connect the cable with the charger and switch it on. You’ll observe that the propeller rotates, and the artificial flame is ready.

Things To Remember
- Be careful while connecting wires parallelly.
- Take the help of an adult while using soldering iron.
- Secure your place with a hard base.
