Introduction
Flashlights help us when it comes to photography. But, as we know, one of the biggest issues with the flash is that it produces a harsh and high contrast light. As a result, it results in strong shadows and will affect the photography. So, to resolve these kinds of issues, we will learn how to make a Speedlight Soft Box.
Supplies
Let’s take a notepad and start writing down the list of supplies that are required for making a Speedlight SoftBox. They are as follows:
Materials
- Soft Box
- Glue
- Tinfoil
- Marker
Tools
- Measuring Scale
- Tape
- Scissors
Steps To Make A Speedlight Soft Box
Step 1: Firstly, take cardboard and measure it according to the flashgun head and mark its position.
Measuring the Cardboard
Step 2: Once the designing process is completed, take the scissor and cut the excess cardboard. Trim the flaps at the opposite side of the box, and thus it will be an opening for the material. Make a triangular shape with a rectangular opening to place the flashgun.
Cutting the Cardboard
Step 3: Cut the tinfoil to match the interior shape and stick it with glue.
Attaching the Tinfoil
Step 4: In the next step, use the gaffer tape and tape the box. Make sure you tape the opening from inside and outside. Cut a piece of paper similar to the opening of the box and then tape it.
Applying Gaffer Tape
Step 5: The last step is to place the seed light SoftBox on the camera and start clicking the photos.
