Introduction
This tutorial will show how to make an air pressure working model with the help of a plastic bottle and a candle at home for your science project.
Supplies
To perform this air pressure experiment, we need;
Material
- Plastic bottle
- Colored water
- Tumbler
- Candle
- Matchbox
Steps To Make Air Pressure Working Model
Step 1: First, take a tumbler and place a small candle inside it.
Step 2: Now, fill the tumbler with half to one amount of colored water by setting the candle in it.
Step 3: Now light the candle and place the open-lid plastic bottle on the top of the candle in an upside-down position.
Step 4: Till that time, you’ll observe that the water level slowly starts to rise. Inside, the bottle and candle continue to glow.
Step 5: Finally, all the colored water inside the tumbler gets inside the plastic bottle after some time.
This is the procedure to perform an air pressure working model with the help of a plastic bottle and candle.
Recommendation
Air pressure experiment with a plastic bottle and candle demonstrates to students, what happens to the flame as it runs out of oxygen. And also how rapid temperature change can create a vacuum by altering air pressure inside the bottle. This working model helps students understand how to make it with material that is readily available at home.
